It's a start!

Today, I am starting my English blog to make my voice heard by the world! Sounds too ambitious but must be realistic goal, right?! It might work or it might not; it doesn't matter. The point is that I have finally started it.

My vision is to be heard and my mission is to help building the attitude of the world over my interested subjects. My first reason for creating this blog is to practice journalism online. I have already taken a course for that in 2005-6 when I was in my home country, Iran. I participated in an online journalism program held by BBC World Service Trust for Iranian journalists. I learned much during this time and passed the following courses: Basic Journalism, Editorial Values, News Writing, Political Reporting, Interviewing, Online Journalism, and Investigative Journalism. The whole program gave me a bright insight over the profession of a journalist and his crucial role in establishment, maintenance and enhancement of democracy in the world.

I would concentrate on Iranian issues mainly, since I am an Iranian myself and concerned much more about its affairs, especially those related to the world. Iran has been in the center of most world's political news from the World War II untill now. At the moment, Iran is challenging the West through it controversial nuclear program. This country has been under US sanctions since 1979 when the Iranian students occupied the US embassy and took over 50 number of its diplomatic staff as hostage. This caused a tension in the relationship between Iran and the US and ultimately between this country and the West for three decades which is still ongoing.

I would try to highlight and discuss some issues interesting for English readers and attempt to shape a true conception of current Iranian policies which sometimes seems puzzling.
